Dr. Annisteen Tate-Cammack

Dr. Annisteen Tate-Cammack, also known by her pen name Renee Tate, is an accomplished author and ordained minister with deep roots in Wilmington, North Carolina. She spent much of her adult life in California before returning to her home state, where she currently resides in Clayton with her husband Daniel and their cherished dog, Cupcake.

Dr. Tate-Cammack’s academic journey includes a Bachelor of Arts and Science from Bennett College, a Master of Arts from Chapman University and an Ph.D. from Trinity Theological Seminary. Her professional career spans over three decades of federal service with the Department of the Interior and fifteen years of ordained ministry in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

In retirement, Dr. Tate-Cammack continues to engage with the community by serving as an elementary school substitute teacher, and as a member of the Wendell-Wake Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

Dr. Tate-Cammack’s dedication to fostering understanding and spiritual growth is evident in her literary contributions and community involvement. Her books reflect her commitment to faith and community.
